Straight answers
Are the toy train tickets guaranteed?
No, and nobody can guarantee them — the Nilgiri Mountain Railway is a state railway service with limited seats that sell out weeks ahead. We plan the day around it and help you book, but the ticket cost is separate and subject to availability.
Do we pass through a tiger reserve?
Yes — the Coorg to Ooty leg runs through Bandipur and Mudumalai. The road closes to traffic between 9 pm and 6 am, so that day starts early by design. It is also the best chance on the trip to see wildlife from the car.
Is this price per person or for the whole trip?
The price shown is a starting price and it covers two travellers — the vehicle, the driver and the rooms listed. If there are more than two of you it costs more, because that means more room nights and sometimes a larger vehicle. Tell us how many are travelling and we will confirm the room split and the exact figure in writing before you pay anything.
What is not included in the price?
Entry tickets, boating and safari charges, lunch and dinner, and tolls, parking and permits on the route. We quote those on top instead of burying them in the headline number, so the figure you agree is the figure you pay.
Can I change the itinerary?
Yes. The Coorg and Ooty plan below is what most people book, not a fixed rail. Drop a stop, add a night, start a day later — send us what you want on WhatsApp and we will rewrite it and re-quote.
Do you pick up from my house?
Yes. Pickup and drop are at your address in Bengaluru, at the time you choose. There is no meeting point and no shared vehicle — the cab is yours for the whole trip.
How do I confirm the booking?
Send your dates on WhatsApp. We send back the full quote in writing, you pay an advance to lock the dates and hotel, and the balance is settled at the start of the trip.
